Red-headed songstress Paloma Faith returns with her third album A Perfect Contradiction.
She takes a fresh funk-soul vibe, most likely down to the influence collaborator
Pharrell Williams had on Can’t Rely On You. Tracks Mouth To Mouth and
Impossible Heart are reminiscent of classic disco, but the album also includes
some Paloma-style classic sounds, such as Only Love Can Hurt Like This.
Taste
My Own Tears is one of the stand-out tracks, featuring a sample of Sam Cooke’s
A Change Is Gonna Come. And she tempts Ben Drew’s Plan B back into soul with
Other Woman.
